Our relationship with God is progressive. It is a relationship that is always under construction because we are always developing and changing into who God has created and destined us to be. As we learn to apply God's Word to every area of our lives. We develop those traits that leads to our lives becoming better. We grow with God the more we know Him.

God teach me how to....

experience peace in every area of my life.
put your 1st over all things.
purify my motives.
clear my heart of stubbornness, pride and strife.
pick love 1st.
not be easily offended.
be steadfast and grow.
cast my cares on to you.
be in unity with everyone I come in contact with.
change my thoughts over you your thoughts
listen 1st and speak slow.

Don't forget to Cross Your Heart

Fix Me Jesus........Check Your Representative

There have been times in my life were I had to check me. In order to become "my best me"  I had to start reflecting on my actions and behaviors and check my representative. The person who was representing me during those times in some cases was out of date, had expired attitudes and needed some serious updates. I had to have a fix me Jesus moment to get myself back in order.  Growth is important when you want to elevate and become your best potential.  There's no point in climbing the mountain only to remain the same you (no growth) when you get to the top.

The Victory Lap : When God's strategy is not What You Think

Joshua 6 starts off with a problem and ends with victory. But the way they won the victory  is different from times before. There is this huge with high walls, fenced in city named Jericho that stands in the way of  the Israelites taking possession of the promise land.

The plan:
God said you shall march around the enclosure, all the men of war going around the city once. This you shall do for six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns; and on the seventh day you shall march around the enclosure seven times and the priests shall blow the trumpets.  When they make a long blast with the ram's horn and you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the enclosure shall fall down in it's place and the people shall go up every man straight before him.  Joshua 6:3-Four.

The Reaction:
WHAT THA-what tha.
God's plan was simple. They were to march around the wall, once a day for six days then on the seventh day, they were to add shout and some music. No physical fighting, No sword fight, No strife life,   just marching.  This plan was different from what they have done before.  And Joshua did not doubt what God said, he moved. Joshua trusted God  and set His plan in motion.  
Now to enemy this had to be confusing. The king probably asked the guards what are they doing?!?! only to learn they are marching around the city once a day. I pretty sure by the second or third day, they were no longer afraid. The fear factor want away and they resumed back to their normal  daily routines, thinking "this is it!,  this is all they came here to do!   Look, there they go again marching around the city!"  This response was totally different from what they had heard about them. I can see their king  gossiping with other kings saying " They did not do what you said they would do! You said they were destroying cities but they are out here walking around ours. They are nothing to be afraid of! They have lost their minds!"
  
But little did they know,  The Israelites were not fighting this battle, God was.
There are time when God's plan is so simple that it confuses our enemies. There are times when all God needs is our faith to execute His plan. God went before the Israelites. He shared His plan with Joshua  (when you became like Joshua, God will tell you His secrets-this what having a relationship with God does).  He had put his trust in God's plans and set it into action. There are some battles that you will have the fight with God by your side. Then there are some battles were God goes before you and fights the battle. I call this the victory lap.  A victory lap is when God lets you rest while He fights the battle for you. It is faith in God's plan in action. This is the lap you take with Godfidance, knowing that the battle is won before it's done.

A victory lap is when God has set things up for you to  just walk into it.

A victory lap is when the enemy tries to frustrate you but you remain patience in the Lord.

A victory lap is every time the enemy tried to come against you, God blocked it.

When you  have a victory lap you can march around with Godfidance, adjusting your crown  shouting " The victory was won before it was done!"

 

Heirvotional: Test The Waters

One pastor writes: I could have taken a hundred gifts and ability tests as a young man and never discovered that I was gifted at teaching, because I'd never done it. It was only after I began accepting opportunities to speak that I saw the results, received confirmation from others and realized God had gifted me to do this.

Unless you're willing to risk getting involved, you'll never know what you're good at.

Sure you're make mistakes and some of them may be so discouraging you'll want to give up and not try again. But if you turn your mistakes into learning experiences you'll not only discover what God has called you to do, you'll grow and become proficient at it. Paul writes: "Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that....Don't compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life" (Galatians 6:4-Five) Then he adds: "Let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't up, or quit....therefore every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all. (Galatians 6:9-Ten).

Today take a serious look at what's left of your life and decide to make it count. Some of the saddest words in life are on a tombstone that reads: " When I came to die, I discovered I had not yet lived." Don't let that be said of you!

You waited for me, Just for me!

To be saved by God is to restored to what He created you to be, originally. Your true divine purpose, restored to the best version of you. The highest most truest expression of yourself.

When we speak of being "lost". We are speaking from the true nature of being away from our true self . To be "lost" from your true self is what the enemy is tries his best to push you away from. He does not want you to act in your true divine individualize expression of God.  In God we are formed, through God we are created.

This is why when we speak of being "saved", we speak of being clothe in our right mind. Through Christ I am made new. In Christ I am born a new creation.
